Freshers Week 2026
BioSoc is back for Freshers' Week 2026, and it's bigger than ever! We've got eight exciting events planned across the week from the 28th September to 4th October, from fun social events and relaxed picnics to activities that encourage you to explore Gibbet Hill. Take a look below to see what we've got in store!

Monday 28th - BioBonds
Start your year strong with BioBonds - a peed friending event! This is the perfect oppertunuity to meet fellow Life Sciences freshers and break the ice and kick off your university journey! Free pizza and drinks will be provided. We're so excited to see you on Monday 28th Sepember at 14:00. :)

Tuesday 29th - Arts & Crafts
Join BioSoc for clay modelling, painting and bracelet making!! A great way to enjoy crafting as well as meet like-minded life sciences freshers. Can't wait to see you on Tuesday 29th September :)

Wednesday 30th - Gibbet Hill Murder Mystery
In collaboration with the School of Life Sciences, BioSoc is bringing a murder mystery to Gibbet Hill! Team up with the rest of your tutor group to hunt for clues, interpret PCR results, and solve the case. It's a fun and interactive way to get familiar with Gibbet Hill while getting to know your tutor group.

Wednesday 30th - Stargazing
Join us for stargazing with BioSoc and AstroSoc at the Marsh Observatory! We will meet at the Piazza at 8PM before heading to the observatory. In case of cloudy weather or rain - fear not! We will host a star walk and trivia night instead! If you can't make the 8PM, feel free to drop in later at the observatory! See you there!

Thursday 1st - Freshers Fair
Join BioSoc at the freshers fair! Meet the exec, ask questions about the society, and collect some tote bags, pens or stickers! We hope to see you all there

Friday 2nd - Welfare Picnic
Come along to our welfare picnic on the Oculus field to have a chat about anything you're worried about! We will have free food and drinks and this is a great chance to meet others on life sciences course!

Saturday 3rd - STEM CIRCLE
Join us from 7pm - 11pm for a fun night out circling with all the STEM societies and get to know your new society members. All of the Warwick STEM societies have teamed up to bring you this huge Freshers circle! Can't wait to see you at Copper Rooms 2 - come and see what Warwick circling is al about :). Remember to bring ID as it's over 18's only. There is no entry for minors and alcohol is optional.

Sunday 4th - Triple Science Sports Day
Join BioSoc with ChemSoc and PhysicsSoc for a chill sports day and earn points for you society through competitions such as egg and spoon races, sack races, and wheelbarrow races! If races aren't your thing, we've also got volleyball, rounders and football, so come along and share plenty of laughter with your friends! Whether you're in it to win it or you're there for the vibes, there's a place for everyone!
