Career Talks
Here at BioSoc, we try to prepare our members for the future in the workplace. We provide lots of opportunities to hear from industry professionals in life sciences and related fields, as shown by our annual BioBeyond event (see below). We also collaborate with other societies, such as the Warwick Consulting Society, so prove that there are other industries you can go into post-academia. Check out our events calendar to see what upcoming career talks we have!
BioBeyond 2026
BioBeyond 2026 was ran on the 7th of May 2026 by BioSoc. The conference had nine external speakers from a diverse range of industries, including biotech research, law, biotech business, and medical communications. Throughout the day, attendees gained valuable insights into transitioning into these fields after academia, receive tailored CV and career advice from the SLS Placement & Careers Team, and had the opportunity to connect directly with professionals during the free networking lunch.
