Career Talks
We provide excellent opportunities to hear from industry professionals in Life Sciences and related fields. This included our inaugural BioBeyond event, ran in term 3 of 2026, where 9 external speakers from companies such as GSK and Avalere Health advised on breaking into their respective fields post-academia. We hope to return BioBeyond in the near future, as it was a great networking opportunity for our members. Additionally, we provide career-based workshops, including some of our BioCafes, that offer CV advice and interview practice to help students prepare for their future in the workplace.

Hello, my name is Liam Miesner
All of us at university are here to explore and develop a career and the necessary skills required. But how will you find out what's possible? We all know the typical career paths for someone in biology, and you may think they're the only options. But they are not! Everyone's professional journey is unique, and BioSoc wants to help open your mind to the non-typical routes.
