Opportunities with COB

There are many benefits to our members through our sponsorship from The Company of Biologists:

  • Access to journals - such as "Development", "Journal of Cell Science", "Journal of Experimental Biology", "Disease Models and Mechanisms", and "Biology Open". Check these out below!

  • Scientific writing and blogging opportunities - "The Node" is a platform for developmental biologists where you can read, write, post blogs and generally interact with a global community of development and stem cell biologists.

  • Grants and Travelling Fellowships - COB use surplus income to encourage the sharing of knowledge by facilitating international collaboration, event attendance and the delivery of scientific meetings, conferences and workshops. Travelling fellowships are available to graduate students and post-doctoral researchers wishing to make collaborative visits to other laboratories. These are designed to offset the cost of travel/accommodation and other related expenses. DNM Conference Travel Grants are aimed at early-career researchers wanting to attend scientific meetings, conferences, workshops and training courses relating to the areas of research covered by the journal. Applicants will usually be PhD students and post-doctoral researchers at the beginning of their research careers.
